Tammy’s back in Wisconsin, and she’s going to be up there for quite a while helping Jeff and Corrine with their newborn.

What does that mean for me – well two things. A lot of time hanging out with my best friend Eva. and using the beetle a lot more.

So, the long and the short is that a spot in the garage opened up. So, I moved my bug out of the shop and into Tammy’s spot in the garage. It’s so much easier to use the blue bug now. I’m sure the neighbors are wondering what happened to Tammy, now that they only see my two vehicles in the garage. This may get quite entertaining.

Moving the bug out of the shop involved maneuvering it out the shop door on an angle to avoid hitting the both the hitch on my cargo trailer and the side of the door jam. It is very tight. Then I need to get Eva in the house, unlock the rolling gate, move the car out, and lock everything up. This is not conducive to driving it every day.

Well, needless to say, I am using it a lot now. I’m not going to get crazy and use it for everything. Mainly because I worry about if getting stolen if I need to leave it in a parking lot. I do have “the club” but I’m not sure that would prevent theft. Thieves can be quite creative in their methods.

However, for quick runs where I don’t need to leave it very long or I can keep an eye on it – well that works perfectly for me.

So, for the next four months anyway, the ’66 is my daily driver!
