Original 1966 headliner

Does anybody in this group still have an original 1966 headliner in the area under the rear window? I would have some questions about the factory installation and how the different pieces were originally put in place...specifically, I would like to know if the rear window is framed by a whole uninterrupted piece of dotted vinyl or by the combination of two separate pieces...thanks

Just a thought, you might want to try Gary Levere at http://www.vwrestorations.com/ he's been doing restorations for years, and he might know the answer to that question. Hope the restoration is coming along well!

Today I received a few pictures of original headliners from 3 different owners...from what I see, I would say it's a single piece framing the whole window and the stitches at the bottom corners provide just the illusion of a second vinyl piece, but in reality it's the same material running all the way around...
