Hello forum! I have done a search for this topic and did read many good items but was unable to find an answer to my delima.
My son has bought a 66 bug and it is equiped with an emergency flasher knob. When we tested the lights, the emergency flasher did not come on. After further troubleshooting, we found that the flasher knob is not even wired in.
When we contacted the original owner, he stated that he converted from 6v to 12v and did not wire in the flashers.
Does anyone have a wiring schematic or pictures of how I can get the flashers wired in?

Original wiring diagram for the '66 is available at TheSamba.com. Look under the technical/wiring tab and select year, model, etc. This is for the original 6 volt system but wiring should be same as 12 volt. Key is the flashers work through a 9 pin control module which is no longer made or available as of last month. Used are hard to find as well. Also I am working with an after market wiring harness for the same issue but haven't yet had the time to put it on the car. Hope that helps.
