heater channel

ok need some help, got the 66 all torn down, and of course heater channels are rusted, heres the thing, i do not even plan on running heat in this bug, so my question is, is there a repair panel to go over top or any other ideas, any info would be great thanks

There are repair panels, but keep in mind these are structural members, and should be repaired properly to restore the structural integrity of the car. Plus if you ever decide to sell the next owner may want heat.
