How to pull generator
Do I have to remove the fan shroud to pull the generator? It looks like that is the case, but I'm not sure. I know ALOT of other things have to be done to pull the shroud. It even looks like the exhaust has to be dropped to get to some of the screws. Not sure.
to pull the generator (assuming its the same as later models)
you have to unbolt the generator from the fan belt wheel
in front and the fan itself at the back behind the engine
then it should slide out granted you have to most likely remove carburetor and other stuff to get stand out...
that being said almost easier to pull engine to do it...
