So I was driving the bug around the other day when I came home from work and parked for about 45 minutes, then when I went to pick my son up from school it started fine after about 20 seconds she stalled. This happened once before about a month ago. Last time it happened I sat for about 2 minutes and she started back up with a little throttle work. This time it took about a half hour. If I waited for a few seconds she would start to run then just die out. After a half hour all was good. The weather was cool and sunny. There are no fuel filters yet, in the mail. Seemed like the fuel supply was being cut off. Anybody have any ideas of things to check?
Oh, I drove her today for a while and no problems.

I'd start with fuel supply and eliminate that first.
Check the screen at the bottom of your fuel tank, make sure it's clean and free of crud.
Check your pump, make sure you have good flow through it.
check the bowl on your carb, make sure it's not all gunked up.
When was the last time you rebuilt or had the carb rebuilt?
Definitely get some filters on there! Even el cheapo 50 cent ones from wal-mart are better than noting until your others get there.

I had the same problem with mine on the very first day a got it, it ran for hours driving home, stopped for petrol, got back in and then it stalled as I was just getting back onto the motorway. It ended up just being a perished fuel hose leaking in abit of air when i stopped.
But the best part was that it had no MOT and so the insurance was void, a copper pulled up behind me to help and we just talked about how nice the car was, get out of jail free card baby!!
