When replacing the driver/passenger window rubber do you have to remove the window glass from the door?

Yes, you remove the door panel and the glass to replace the scraper.

Basically you have to remove everything, the panel and the window. It's not a labor friendly operation.

If you haven't already, invest in a Bentley Volkswagen 1200 Workshop manual. (It covers most everything on the 1300 as well.) It contains the facory procedures for things like door and sunroof rebuilding.
