shift rod bushing

shift rod bushing

How does this bushing go on the shift rod and ,should it be inserted into the hanger?

Yes it needs to be put into the hanger with the metal ring too. Put it in place and them slide the shift rod into place with a touch of grease. get a helper to guide the end of the shaft if you can. I was dreading this job and it took 10 mins to do
