Starter Won't Stop

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and just bought my first 66 bug.

As I was driving it home I stopped for gas and when I tried to start the car again the starter just kept on cranking the engine, even when I turned the ignition with off. It finally drained the battery and stopped.

Any ideas what would cause that?

maybe cable touching something. check all your cables from ignition to the starter. maybe you have a bad/broken cable..

Thanks, I traced it out and found a spot where it was touching.

Car starts right up with no problems.
