pushrod question
I discovered when I pulled my pushrods the #4 exhaust pushrod was missing the tip on the inner side. so I replaced it with another and I was wondering what kind of damage this may have caused..

do you have metal shavings in your oil? If you lost the pushrod end into the engine you could do SERIOUS damage to it. It cuold wedge into some place nasty, it could break apart and wedge into smaller, nastier places, it could plug oil passages, etc...
On the flip side, it could do nothing and you'll never know it was in there.

pushrod question
thanks for the reply! sounds like I should do a tear down and rebuild while I'm at it. I may have done damage when I started it for 30 seconds after I replaced the pushrod. bummer
