motor year

'66 convertible confirmed through VIN on body/frame. Motor has been changed by prior owner. SN is H 5277647. This is a 44 bhp, 1500 series motor but not sure what year it is from. Understand H motors were run in T1 and T2 models. Any ideas?

H case originally would have been a '67 model year engine, and your engine number would have been installed in a car shipped in October of '66.

The date makes sense given the dating of other pieces of the car that I have uncovered.
