bug cover question?

I'm about to pick up a cover on craigslist and in the past have not had good luck w/Bug parts on there, although I did get my Bug on craigslist.

So the cover is said to be a custom one for a 1970 Bug, he say it will fit my '66 is that true? My bug is at my friends being worked on 3 hrs away so there is no way to tell, unless buy. He sounds like an honest person. I was just wondering if you guys know body size, will it fit? Thx

If it will fit a 1970 beetle, it will fit a 1966. Other than a few exterior and interior differences the bodies stayed pretty much the same until the super beetle.

That's good to know thx, because i grabbed it anyway only 25 buck so i'm happy i saved some money not buying a new one!
