Just wanted to say hi!
My name is Dave aka Big Wave Dave(BWD)!
I've been on the Samba for years and finally found my way over here!
I've been a VW lover since about 69, I think, when my dad got a 63 "Glitter Bug" for my oldest sister, I was eleven and it was so cool! I remember lots of fun trips to the beach. When I was 17 my GF had a black 66, bone stock and very clean. My first bug was a 53 oval with semaphores, boy I wish I still had that!!! I've also had a 59 Westphalia and a 63 standard bus.
I bought my 66 about seven years ago and have slowly(very slowly) been getting it roadworthy, I'm just about there! :D
I hope to learn some things from this forum and share some of my limited knowledge!
