So I found a Sapphire III at a local junkyard and want to install it in to my 66. I know little to nothing about this radio so I have a few basic questions before I attempt the install in my 66 that has been converted to 12v.
Are all Sapphire III's 6v or 12v? If not, how do I tell the difference?
Cheers,
Matt

Not sure, but if you post a clear picture of circuitry I may be able to tell you. No manual huh? :p
I doubt it would hurt to try it with 6v voltage limiter and find out if it runs ok, often times the old electrolytic caps get weak or don't work unless you put a little more voltage through them (not recommended).
You could always go buy a book on circuitry and a decent ohm/volt meter from radio shack. Those old radios can be fun to fix and learn about. Then again I'm a vintage radio nut.
sorry for not being much help.
