1st European Bug-In, Chimay Belgium

Here are my pics from the 1st European Bug-In held in a small town called Chimay on the French/Belgian border.

It's marketed as a premier VW show, but centered on nostalgia/gasser VW drag racing, with heavy Cal-Look influence in the Concours etc.

Me and my buddies from restowagenuk.com headed over in our resto-cal bugs via the channel tunnel under the English channel and had a great time!

This 'beach car' was unearthed in the South of France and restored to it's former glory. This kind of coachbuilt conversion was popular on cars of the era in the Southern Mediteranean, hundreds of Fiats, Renaults etc were converted but harldy any VW's, this car was converted from an Oval by one of the best in the business back in the day - awesome car!
