I am glad I found your homepage. I must tell it has quite a lot of useful info - and forum consisting of (mostly) '66-beetle owners makes feel like I've won on lottery

My name is the same as my nickname - Teet. Me and my '66 beetle are located in Estonia (no, it's not "Elbonia"

some pics about my beetle (to whom I got introduced last summer):

in the very same album there are pics from aircooled VW meeting that took place in August last year in Latvia.
some pics from the day my beetle was brought to my backyard can be found from there: http://www.beetle.ee/foorum/viewtopic.php?t=760
at that time it had "rested" for 6..7 years in some (fortunately well-ventilated) garage (some previous potential buyer had made some garage-photos: http://www.beetle.ee/foorum/viewtopic.php?t=257#1300). Engine was ok after replacing battery, oil and petrol; the brakes got new pads + wheel-cylinders: and on the road I was.
my beetle was born on 04/04/1966 and originally it was white. The plan is to give it back the original interior and exterior by summer 2008. Also the electric system needs to be converted back to 6V and the motor being probably fom early '70s (the cable near flywheel indicates it: http://teet.luarvik.org/v/volksutykid/dscf4176.jpg.html) I am hoping to replace also. I hope both US '66 and European '66 are similar enough for us being able to share knowledge about what detail is authentic and what is not - in my "rollback" I am intending to use German parts mostly, but unfortunately there are some pieces with what there seems to be "Brazilian option only". But ok, I will not bother you with such detail right in my first post

BR,
Teet
