Hairline cracked cylinder heads- repairable?? Is it worth-it?

Post by KKV270 »

Hi.
I have 2 pairs of twin-port cylinder heads that have hairline cracks either between the valves or going to the spark plug hole.
Question- is this repairable (say aluminum welding?) If so, is it worth the hustle or better off discarding the scrap metal guy?
It pains to imagine trashing cylinder heads especially VW..that's why I've just stored but now I have to make a decision based on sound information.

Thanks

I don't have an answer for that, but maybe you can explore some threads on the Samba...
