My 2 1966's

Post by aircooled.sats »

Just a few pictures from my 1966's. I just recently acquired the white one, which was stored in a barn for the last 25 years and haven't done much to it although I am starting to work on a 1600 dual port motor that I am converting from an autostick to manual components to fit into this car. The whole car is solid as far as rust goes, besides the surface rust on the fenders and some slight on the pan near the pedal assembly. The Blue one I have had for about a year and I have ripped the old pans off, sanded down the frame and but a base of primer on, ordered a bunch of parts and am making progress slowly. I am hoping to add alot of my photos to this thread if that is the best place and learn more about the proper steps to converting to 12v here in these forums. I will definitely be around here and posting more as I work so looking forward to that. Cheers!

Interesting project you got there. The switch from autostick to manual is a big game changer, especially on a '66. Loved the blue one too. How about the pan? When it comes to conversion the devil is in the details, a lot of small parts you won't think of till you're in the middle of it. Anyway, keep us filled in with the progress.
