Hello from a new ‘66 owner!

Hello all! I’ve envied others over the years who’ve purchased “barn finds”. Today I found mine! I brought home a 1966 Sea Blue sedan (built very late Aug ‘65 to very early Sept ‘65 per the VIN). The car is original, down to the original keys, the 6v system and 1300 engine. It’s solid, other than the usual battery tray region rot. The interior’s been redone at some point, but is period correct (but needs a refresh). The car fired right up, and drove well enough to get on/off the trailer and up my drive. This is my second beetle. The first was a ‘73 super beetle. I’m looking forward to learning from this group, and getting this survivor sorted.
