how to figure engine stroke

Post by KKV270 »

Hi.

I am trying to determine the actual capacity of an engine im working on. It has 2 different heads (one with 7 fins the other 8 fins.

I know the size of the bow (85.5). With the stroke, I can get the cc. I just don't know how to get the stroke figure. Please assist.

Thanks

The only stock strokes (1200cc on) were 64 and 69 mm.

64 - stock 1200cc motor (77mm Piston/cylinders)
69 - stock 1500 and 1600 motor (1500 83mm and 1600 85.5)

BORE (mm) X BORE (mm) X STROKE (mm) X .0031416 = Engine Displacement in CC's

For 69mm Stroke:

85.5 X 85.5 X 69 X .0031416 = 1584 cc

64mm Stroke:

85.5 X 85.5 X 64 X .0031416 = 1469 cc
