Hello
I would like to know if the US specification 1966 Bug came with the spade or screw terminal voltage regulators?
I need to replace mine (I think it is bad) and it is currently a Brazilian one, with screws. I don't know if my original wires had spade terminals or if it was modified for the Brazilian regulator by prior owner. I am interested in a stock look.
thanks!
What Type of Voltage Regulator Terminal is Stock?

Either one will work, but I believe by '66 they had switched to the spade connectors for the two large red wires.
The reason for the switch was the pinch screw that connected the wires to the regulator could strip, causing a full power outage on the road. I know because it happened to me.
The small connections at the pulley end (gen to regulator) were always screw connections.
