bugging

Post by SBabineaux »

Im sure getting to appreciate my bug. Love the simple but effective engineering! Changed my shift rod bushing with my daughter's help. Zip straps were helpful in holding the coupler togethef to start the screw in the back. Polarizing my generator got me 13.9 volts at the battery. Horn butyon is fixed and wiring repaired. It meeps again.

Ball joints and shocks are next, brake shoe check (noise in the left rear) then a set of new shoes, steering box adjustment and an alignment.

Bought a carpet set to replace the tired one in it now, and 3 point belts are on hand as well.

Still have to check the regulators in the doors and diagnose the front lights.

While you're on the front end, check the tierod ends for slop. The short one seems especially prone to wear.
