Solex 30 Pict 2 carburetor 12v choke vs 6v choke

Post by Itskyle »

Little background,

My 30-pict 2 was rebuilt by me twice.

Believe the second time I did do it correctly; however am concerned about whether or not the choke is 12 volt or 6 volt being as the beetle has already been converted to 12 volt.

Would a 12 volt charge fry up a 6 volt choke?

A 12 volt choke is about $30. Run it til it fries.
