Hi.
Stumbled upon a 34 PICT Carb and was thinking of replacing it with the 28 PICT 2 I have on my 66.
1. It looks humongers for the space available. Anybody knows if it will "stand a fit"?
2. Any benefits of having it "on board" over the 28 PICT 2?
Thanks.

The diameter of the 34 Pict is larger and it won't fit on the manifold.
If you want to replace the carb, look for one of the 30 or 30/31 Pict units. If the car is still 6 volts, you will need to disable the idle cutoff valve (the can on the side). If the car is 12 volts, you will need to run a 12 volt wire to the cutoff valve. (Tee into the choke wire.)
The purpose of the idle cutoff valve is to prevent run-on after the ignition is switched off. (This was the only solution the factory could find after years of owner complaints.)
