Hi.

I usually get problems shopping for parts for my bug. The vender has thrown in a question before,,,1302 0r 1303??? to which I'm left :?:

How can I tell? (unfortunately, the only pics I have can't upload as they don't meet requirements.

If the car you own is a '66, the answer is neither one of them.

1302 designates a '71 or '72 Super Beetle, and 1303 is the '73 to '75 Super Beetle with curved windshield. These are the cars with Macpherson strut front suspension and IRS rear suspension.

Those also are European designations. In North America they were simply called Super Beetles.
