Post by BluzBug »

My Rear Engine Cover must not be the OG, however it was included with the full body paint...... now i have no idea where to drill the Holes. I printed a Picture off Samba, which is fairly accurate, but lacks how far away from the left Body Line (Crease) ...... need help :D

Take a piece of non-stretchy string and cut it to 12 and one-eighth inches long. Lay it along the crease line on the left hand side of the deck lid, from the top of deck where the crease starts. Put a pencil mark at the point where the string ends. Then, draw a one-inch line at a 90 degree angle to the crease, from that pencil mark. Next, take a straight edge about 12 inches long (like a piece of thin cardboard) and lay it parallel to that one-inch line. Put a pencil mark on the deck lid at a point 3 and seven-eighths inches over from the crease, then draw a light line along your straight edge going to the right to a point 9 and five-eighths inches from the crease.

You now have the line on which to place your 1300 badge. The bottom left hand corner of the number 1 on the badge should line up with the 3 and seven-eighths pencil mark ...and the bottom right hand outer edge of the last 0 should line up with the 9 and five-eighths pencil mark. There ya go!
