Sapphire I in a 66?

I have a Sapphire I radio in my September 65 built 66. The Sapphire III is "correct" for the 66 model year but I'm wondering if perhaps the dealers were still having surplus Sapphire I's installed in late 65. I would be interested in hearing if anyone else has this setup in their 66, especially if you know it is the original dealer installed radio. Thanks

There is no correct '66 radio. It was whatever the dealers had on hand at the time.

Yes. My '66 has the original Sears AM/FM radio.
