What Clutch

I have a transmission that was converted to 12 Volts and a 1600 engine.

What style of pressure plate should I use? With or Without the collar?

Thanks,

Dan

Starting an engine that has sat for 10 years

I have a 1600 engine that has sat for 10 years. The engine was rebuilt before it went into storage and has about 5,000 miles on it.

Any advice on how I would go about trying to start it?

Thanks,

Dan

Door Windows

I have access to door and rear pop out windows from a 1968 beetle. Does anyone know if they will fit a 1966?

Thanks,

It is from a standard 73 bug. It looks the same and what I could measure I thought it would line up.

I'll use my existing steering as you suggested.

I appreciate the input, I didn't want to tear it out and find out it would not fit.

Thanks,

Dan

Front End Assembly

Would a front end assembly including steering gear box from a 1973 bug fit on a 1966 bug with no modifications?

Engine compartment tin

I have a 66 with a 73 engine in it, the person who installed it made a mess of the engine surround tins.

The tins that you can buy, are they specific to a year or are they pretty much interchangeable through the years.

Thanks,

Dan

New From Tennessee

I just got my first project car this week. It is a 66 bug and the person that had it before took a lot of the original items off as he wanted to make it a low rider hot rod. It has been lowered and I want to raise that back up so it can be driven without hitting bottom every time I hit a bump in the...
