It wasn’t a 100-degree day for our last get together on July 28th. Surprisingly the turnout was almost bare. Infact we probably hung around in the parking lot for 30 minutes with only three cars; My ’66, Scotts Ghia, and Jays 67. Bill and Shirley arrived later in their convertible bug.

There are only two things that really keep me from going to the monthly get together in Garland. That is extreme heat, or rain. This day was really pleasant for late July. A really cloudy and breezy day, and the temperatures were moderate.
We did get a brief shower which forced Bill and Shirley to put their convertible top up. Other than that, you couldn’t have asked for a nicer day.
Regardless of the number of folks that show up at “the gathering”, it is always fun. The drive was great with one exception, and that was a stall at a red light on the way home. That has never happened to me before. So, I am going to dig into that a little this next week. It almost felt like a vacuum leak to me and I noticed that a line from the carb that is plugged seemed to be too loose, so I replaced it. Next, I’ll check my points etc.
As I have said so many times, it’s always something.
