I have a single zenith carb on my 66 that was put on years ago by the previous owner when he had the motor built up. She has been sitting a while and has all new ignition and idles fine, but under load she cuts out and pops. I can tell some kind of leakage on the top plate of the carb and I am thinking it is the culprit. Question is should I keep the Zenith or would it be better to get a single weber? I don't want to put lots of money into zenith if I can get a weber for a little more. Any info would be appreciated!!
If you can find a carberator rebuild kit for the zenith, try that, that should fix your leak, if not, goto a junkyard/ used parts area, then put a rebuild on it
