What a great site! I had no idea the '66 had such a following. I'm impressed to find so many people interested in restoring a piece of history. If only more people cared for what they've acquired, we'd solve half the world's problems and then some.
I've logged on to get some info for my brother-in-law who's set me to selling his 1966 Beetle here in Reno, Nevada - by the end of November! If she doesn't find a home, a faith worse than death awaits.
I'm tempted to become a new VW owner myself, but she needs a home with a caring, mechanically inclined owner. I'll be posting on the "technical -mechanical" forum after this to find out just how much I need to lower the asking price to allow for a transmission problem.
