Emergency flasher relay

Post by obfuscurity »

Does anyone have a picture of their emergency flasher relay and where it's installed? I was tracing the flasher switch and found that both wires are disconnected and I don't see anything that looks like the OG relay anywhere.

I believe the flasher relay is contained in the same blue or black box that the turn signal relay is. Consult a wiring diagram for a '66 model.

My flasher box...

Post by m00se »

I'm in the process of getting all of my wires and components sorted out myself. I just got my turn signals going, but my hazards don't work yet. I may have to look for some "alternative" wiring options for my hazard lights, because these boxes aren't easy to find and I'm on a major budget... Here's a picture of my current setup- this is how it was wired when I got it and should be the original configuration minus the massive amounts of electrical tape.

The box is located near the instrument cluster on the right side of the picture near the front hood's hinge. There are 9 pins in the box, but only 8 slots are used. That appears to be the correct configuration for it... However, it still doesn't work... Hope this helps!
