What is the stock width for a front beam?

Thanks for the info. The switch on the column is a lock and ignition switch. I got this to work before I disassembled the car. I will weld the two dash holes up from the other switches.

I have my 66 disassembled. When I bought the car it had two ignition keys . One for the locking column and one for the switch in the dash. It also has a push button under the dash! I know this is a complete rig but what is correct?
Did this car have a locking ignition column or is this an add on?

I am starting to paint my 66. The primer in on and the engine is out. I would like to go to a 12v system and ditch the 1300. How do you grind the bell housing in order to fit a 12v flywheel?
