Re: Engine Runs A Bit warmer Than I like. 1600 DP
Can it be? The fuel pump? I put the filter back in the engine compartment. And the level was never as full as it is now. So as I got my first dead on the road. Thanks high school kids for helping. Told them when they tell their mothers the next day happy mothers day. To tell them I said they've done...

Engine Runs A Bit warmer Than I like. 1600 DP
So the engine is a DP 1600. And it runs a bit hotter than I like, by dipstick feel. Until i prop the bottom of the deck lid. Then she stays at a nice temp. Re: Hello from Nampa Idaho
Welcome. Heck, you're only a 6 hour drive away, 10 in a Bug. Sounds like you have a good collection of VW's. Lets see some pics of those 4 wheeled beauties.

Pully Question, Please..........................
Which of the many notches do you use? They're even on the case. The motor in this puppy motor is a AE code, 71-73 somewhere(AE144355). It has every dot line, notch that is available according to the internets and youtube rabbit hole. I could easily go to Samba and look it up or even ask and ...

Jimbo In Reno's Bug
I guess there is no use in using the Introduction forum. A wrench has now been turned and a restoration, or as I call it. Just keeping it running and looking as nice as an old vehicle can. So far not too much has been done. The engine still looks like it sat in a field for 30 years. Has a ...

So! Who's Running Heaters?
Aside from needing cable adjustments to fully close, some clamps, and some heat tape in some spots for good measure. They are working. I've never had heaters before. My buddy back when we were kids had them on his Baja. They burned us out of the car on those cold southern California days. 8) I took ...
