TMI - 1966 correct door panels

Just an FYI that TMI might be coming out with correct door panels for 1966. After a lengthy discussion over at the Samba about 1966 seat covers, it appears we've convinced TMI that there's sufficient demand for correct door panels as well. I urge you to make yourself heard . It sounds like the ball ...

Update: Like others before me, I've always been confused at the price discrepancy between WW's covers and the generic '65-67 covers sold by JBUGS. So I finally went and called WW to get the actual TMI product numbers for their '66 covers. Turns out they're using the 44-1124 custom covers with the 1...

Correct TMI seat covers?

Wondering which suppliers folks are using for 66-correct TMI seat covers. I originally ordered a full set of 43-1124-Basketweave covers through JBUGS. These have the basketweave pattern all across the seat faces (where you sit and your back rests), with piping around the sides and across the seam on...

Ok, I got this mostly figured out now. The "upper loop" is supposed to fit inside the upper-inside part of the door lip. Once I got that in there everything went in easy.

Door reassembly frustrations

I had to repair my driver's side vent wing window, so I took the opportunity to replace all the scrapers, felt and weatherstripping in the door. I'm having similar difficulties to those in this thread . Specifically, I can't seem to get the window regulator and vent wing post installed without block...

Emergency flasher relay

Does anyone have a picture of their emergency flasher relay and where it's installed? I was tracing the flasher switch and found that both wires are disconnected and I don't see anything that looks like the OG relay anywhere.

I started a new thread over at TheSamba.com. Still waiting for the bug to be delivered today. It's supposed to arrive in 45 minutes.

Hello from Maryland

New member here from Maryland. Purchased my '66 Beetle last week from the previous owner in Colorado. According to my dad it has no rust or dings and still has the original (albeit oxidized) Ruby Red paint. Can't wait to see it roll off the transport in the next couple days. I'll post pics soon in a...
