I got my Birth Cert back and Sherman is indeed a Euro bug (delivered to Cologne, Germany), and on a separate sheet they confirmed that my engine # is the original 1300 motor.

I'm pretty happy !

Hi -

You may have a rare 'standard' bug - definitely worth looking into. I just found out about them and from what I remember reading they were delivered with the 1200 engines.

New member here -

Short of a VW birth certificate - what are some of the other visual clues that would indicate a 'Euro' bug ? :scratch:

My SeaSand sunroof bug has lockable steering / ignition switch on column but everything else looks like other 1966 bugs I've seen.
